Shellac
Shellac, wooden music boxes
This collection takes its name from an ancient technique of wood finishing, with the resin, produced in nature: by an insect, you get shavings, that are dissolved in alcohol and lay down on the wood with swabs or brush.
The different layers of resin that you lay down on the wood makes the surface resistant and translucent. This gives warmth and prestige to the carillon.
Horses and ceramics puppets are painted with bright colors, recovering the memory of ancient toys.
